Prior to working as a judge advocate, Ms. Temple worked as a civilian attorney in the Pittsburgh area. While in law school Ms. Temple also worked as a law clerk for several distinguished criminal defense attorneys representing clients who faced felony charges for offenses including fraud and murder.

Ms. Temple received her juris doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh. She also holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Richmond. She is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.
